KorzaroBot – Korzaro’s crawler
Found KorzaroBot/1.0 in your server log? Your site is being read by Korzaro, an app that helps shop owners keep an eye on their own site and their direct competitors.
What the crawler does
It reads public pages the way a visitor does: headings, descriptions, links and whether pages load. It never signs in, submits forms or buys anything.
It reads the site of a shop that uses Korzaro, usually once a night. It reads a direct competitor’s site only after the customer confirms it, with at least 2 seconds between requests.
How to limit the crawler
The crawler follows the rules in robots.txt for all crawlers (User-agent: *) and for itself (User-agent: KorzaroBot). On competitor sites it also respects Crawl-delay.
Two lines close the whole site to it: User-agent: KorzaroBot followed by Disallow: /.
